Braided thread

Braided thread is the only kind of thread that does not rely on a single fiber or material. Instead, multiple fibers are moulded and welded together to create a multi-fiber thread with amazing strength and small diameter. Breaking strength is measured in maximum pounds, with many lines ranging from 20 pounds starting with a 30 pound braid to more than 50 pounds. It is also a dense line type, and as a result, it sinks into the water very quickly - excellent for bottom fishers 鱼饵. This is the perfect type of line for pike, but it tends to be very obvious, which may make many predators avoid this line.

Single filament wire

Monofilaments have many benefits that, in the eyes of some anglers, put it way ahead of the competition. Cheap, easy to use, translucent and elastic, single line is a good line for skittish predatory fish and can absorb the shock of aggressive fishing by predatory fish.

Fluorocarbon line

Fluorocarbon has the same refractive index as water, so it bends light like a liquid, making it nearly undetectable, and is the first choice for anglers fishing in clear waters or anglers targeting skittish fish. Fluorocarbon lines are also significantly denser, so it is better for fixing bait in lakes or riverbeds, even when using a weightless setting. This makes fluorocarbons a very popular choice for fishing with bottom lures because of the combination of stealth and weight.
